About Me!

I’m Ana!

I’m 27, I live in Bushwick and I’ve been single since June(ish) 2022. There have been a couple crushes and maybe more than a couple hookups, but nothing serious and very few flings that even felt exciting. Ever since a god awful Tinder experience back in 2017 (my first and only time meeting someone from a dating app), I’ve sworn them off. Sometimes I let myself swipe, but it’s hard to be seriously invested in something that seems to take all of the romance, charm and humanity out of dating.

But dating in NYC in your late 20s and not using an app is kinda hard! I’ve done speeddating. I’ve asked out friends of friends. I’ve gone to random bars on weekdays thinking maybe I’d meet the love of my life at karaoke night. But nothing has proven fruitful…so I wondered if I just needed to get more creative. This is the product of that!

Help me be excited by the prospects of love again! I MISS BEING IN LOVE!!!

What Can I Offer As a Partner?

Physically:

  • Laughs
  • The opportunity to stare slackjawed at me when I look especially beautiful
  • I’m a fan of PDA…there’ll be a good amount of PDA (always appropriate levels for the occasion because I’m a lady)

Materially:

  • My queen sized mattress
  • Access to my two most prized possessions in my apartment: my SodaStream & my extensive niche (mostly unisex) perfume collection
  • I work for a college so I can get us like free museum tickets and stuff like that

Emotionally:

  • I’ve done a lot of work on myself since my last relationship so I can say this and totally mean it: emotional stability lol
  • Wordless comfort (I’m not very well spoken but I think I’m good at listening and just being there)
  • Respect, dignity, and grace (I’m a Catholic afterall)

5 Facts About Me

1.) My hobbies: going to trivia (weekly, with friends), going to karaoke (weekly, usually alone), going to the movies (biweekly), and writing poetry (rarely shared).

2.) I lived in France for a bit; hoping to move back abroad for good before I’m too old.

3.) My favorite movie that genuinely changed my life since I’ve seen it is Another Round (2020).

4.) My favorite book is The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder.

5.) Whenever I’m feeling really bored and manic I get sudden urges to quit my job and get reallyyy into standup and become a comedian. It hasn’t happened yet because I’m still sane enough to recognize delusions of grandeur but it’s definitely something to look out for.
